About Bourton Roadrunners’ Club
The club was formed in 1981 and is managed by a committee that is elected at each year’s AGM, usually held in October or November. We are governed by a formal constitution, which is supported by codes of conduct, and is aligned to England Athletics’ policies and standards framework.
The club meets every week on Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning, Thursday evening and Friday morning. On other days, members often organise
other social or training runs.The club leaves from the Bourton-on-the-Water Leisure Centre at the following times:
Tuesday
6:00pm - 6:30pm : “Beyond C25k” - A 2.5mile run at average 12-14min/mile pace, from Bourton on the Water Leisure Centre.
6:45pm (2 options) :
a) A 3 mile run from Bourton on the water Leisure Centre car park.
b) A Speed work/Efforts session meeting at a pre arranged venue (see
run schedule below for details).
Wednesday
9am : An opportunity for runners for all abilities with distances to suit varied needs. Run starts at Bourton Rovers Football Club Pavillion. For more details

Thursday
6:00pm - 6:30pm : “Beyond C25k” - A 2.5mile run at average 12-14min/mile pace, from Bourton on the Water Leisure Centre.
6:45pm : With a choice of 3 or 5-6 mile runs from Bourton on the water Leisure Centre car park.
There is the option of a longer run (approximately 7-7.5 miles) once a month.
Friday

Many club members compete in races throughout the year. We are affiliated to Gloucestershire AAA and UK Athletics.
The club organises three road races each year - the High Bridge Jewellers 10k in February, the Bourton Mile in May and the Bourton Half Marathon in September.
We meet regardless of the weather; the only exception is Christmas day!

From time to time Bourton Roadrunners Club runs NHS-based Couch to 5K courses, details of which will be published on this website.
