Eynsham 10K - 30th November

For some, Eynsham 10K is the last chance of the season to knock up a personal best and despite the rain, the course provided the opportunity to do just that.

Last year's winner Steph Lane was delighted to beat her time of 2008 by 10 seconds to record 36:49, despite the fact that she finished 2nd lady this year. Lewis Gray had a superb run and a personal best, recording 37:10. Ewen Smith was also very pleased with his time of 38:31 after a lay-off because of flu.

Justin Launchbury had another good run for 42:43, while Andy McCoombes ran well for 43:49. Pete Scarrott ran most of the way with Shirley Creed, just unable to hold himself back at the end and opening a small gap for 47:14, while Shirley achieved a PB in 47:16. Liz Hulcup was just able to hold off Jan Short, who achieved a PB, with Brian Hulcup in attendance just behind, the three respective times being 48:31, 48:31 and 48:32.

Chris Bence was rather disappointed with his time of 52:46, Gill Carrick finished in 53:57 and Gary Holton just missed the hour barrier by 23 seconds.
