Blenheim & Moreton FC 10Ks and Abingdon Marathon - 17th Octoberber 2010
A very busy Lucy Walmsley had a double win at the weekend with 39:59 in the Blenheim 10K, followed up by winning the Moreton Football Club 10k(ish). Rob Humphris, 2nd in the race, but 1st man, was delighted with his success. Third and fourth in the race were Shirley Creed and defending champion, Gill Carrick.
Steph and Gary Holton joined Lucy at the Blenheim 10K, where Steph ran a personal best of 55:03 and Gary a solid 60:45.
Darren Long, in only his fourth marathon, with another PB moved into the 2nd fastest club marathoner of the year with a superb time of 3 hours 6 minutes in the Abingdon Marathon only 4 weeks after completing the Nottingham Marathon in 3:07:11.
In his first half marathon, one of our younger runners, Jay Bumpstead, ran a brilliant race to record 1:36:12.
