The Mandy Whittington Newent 9 – 17th November 2019
After a week of torrential rain and flooding in the area, 350 runners took-on this undulating road race of 9½k along the country roads around Newent, taking in the town centre and the famous Market House. This Newent Runners' organised event was renamed this year in memory of one of its late members.
Bourton Roadrunners sole representative was Claire Carroll, who completed the course in a respectable 59:36.
Swindon 10k – 17th November 2019
Two of Bourton Roadrunners’ second-claim members, Diana Dee and Linda Edwards, ran the Swindon 10k, a two-lap course via Wroughton and Overtown. “Dee” finished 10th lady in 44:51 and Linda, just 4 seconds off her PB, in 50:42; this after doing a parkrun PB the day before.

Dee finished 10th lady in a competitive field at the Swindon 10k, in 44:51.
Linda Edwards narrowly missed her 10k PB at Swindon a day after PB-ing at parkrun.
