Berlin Marathon – 29th September 2019
Early on Sunday morning Linda Edwards battled her way through the wind and rain, along with 44,000 other runners, at the Berlin Marathon.
Linda’s months of tireless training and race-preparation were rewarded by a new personal best time of 4 hours 9 minutes and 48 seconds for the LV55 runner.
Cheltenham Half Marathon – 29th September 2019
Nearer to home, one of Bourton Roadrunners’ newer members, Annie Oliver, was runner her first half marathon at Cheltenham in equally challenging conditions.
Maintaining a consistent pace she achieved a creditable time of 2:20:16 and is now looking forward to the Cricklade half marathon this week.
Blenheim Palace 10k – 29th September 2019
Meanwhile, Jeanette Brew and Coral Freenan-Hill took-on the ever-popular British Heart Foundation Blenheim Palace 10k, which together with its sister half marathon is always a running spectacular.
Jeanette and Coral, who are still relatively new to racing, achieved 1:17:24 and 1:17:50 respectively; good for the course and conditions.
