Tempo Winter Series, race 2 of 5 – 21st November 2021
The Tempo Winter Series consists of 5 hilly 10 kilometre races, one a month beginning in October and ending in February. The route is located near the village of Ilmington on the edge of the Cotswolds and heads up the highest point in Warwickshire.
Bourton Roadrunners had 2 hardy members competing over the physically demanding course, in this the second race of the series. Lorna Shawcross finished in 55:37 and 3rd LV55, and Sharon Rees in 67:00.
The Castle Combe Chilly 10k - 21st November 2021
This race was held on the famous Castle Combe racing circuit, with is a 3 lap course that is flat, fast and traffic free. It starts on the track and finished in the pit lane.
Linda Edwards (2nd claim member) completed the race in 55:44 and said that it was definitely chilly and a fair bit of resistance-training with the wind.

Stratford upon Avon: Alfie Sansom JM 11-14 – 21:12, Susan Hunt (2nd claim) – 24:41
Harkeville, SA: Gillian James – 33:35 and 1st in age group
Lorna Shawcross and Sharon Rees braved the cold and hills at Ilmington’s 2nd event of the Tempo Winter 10k Series, with Lorna earning 3rd in age-group.
Linda Edwards also faced the elements at Castle Combe racing circuit, completing the 10k without a pitstop.
