Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire -

Highworth 5 mile - Sunday 10th April 2022

The very popular Highworth 5 mile road race is back, following a Covid-enforced break like many other running events. The mainly flat one-lap route has a sting-in-the-tail uphill climb in the last mile, which slows even the best runners on their way to the finish at the Warneford School sports field.

Although a little breezy, four members of Bourton Roadrunners enjoyed, ideal conditions as they begin their Yorkshire Marathon training together. The first to finish was Claire Carroll in 47:38, with Allie Quinn and Jaq Underwood close on her heels in 47:59, and Louise Hamilton-Smith completing the quartet in 48:00.

Nuneaton Open Track Meeting - Sunday 10th April 2022

12 year old Lucy Hillary represented Bourton Roadrunners at the Nuneaton Open Track Meeting, in the U15 ladies 800 metres race. Lucy ran a personal best of 2 minutes 35 seconds; a brilliant performance and well done to her.
