Cirencester Royal Agricultural University parkrun - 12th March.

Whilst the popularity of the parkrun movement has proved to be a resounding success for runners of all abilities for a number of years now, recent weeks has seen a definite upturn again as these brilliant events have regained their attraction through their accessibility. Like most running clubs, Bourton Roadrunners are regular participants in these events, including monthly social gathering at one of the several local venues. For this month it was held at the Cirencester Royal Agricultural University, 12th March.

A beautiful sunny morning saw Derek Darby leading the club home, finished in 22:20. Barry O’Leary fresh from a PB at the recent Bourton 10k finished in 25:27. Other Bourton participants included Libby Taylor - 26:02, 1st LV30; Lorna Shawcross - 26:21, 1st LV60; Graham Lane - 26:56; John Harding - 27:15; Tom Knight - 27:48), Liz Hulcup - 27:51, 1st LV65; Kate Price (2nd claim) – 36:01, course PB and Lynn Hudson 36:02.

Highlights

Bourton Roadrunners’ 3rd monthly social parkrun gathering took place on 12th March at Cirencester Royal Agricultural University, with 10 members running, with others in support.

Gillian James was still enjoying parkrun in the sunshine at Harkerville, South Africa - lucky thing.
