Boston Marathon, Massachusetts, USA - 21st April 2025
While many Bourton Roadrunners were enjoying a restful Bank Holiday Monday, two were challenging themselves at yet another of the World Marathon Masters, this time at the 129th Boston Marathon, Massachusetts, USA.
Susan Hunt and Linda Edwards continue to add to their tally, with Susan achieving four hours, 13 minutes and 58 seconds for her 44th full marathon in hot conditions, while Linda finished in 4:53:09 despite an injury.
Westonbirt 10k - 18th April 2025
Meanwhile on Good Friday, Imogen Cox visited the beautiful Westonbirt Arboretum for the annual Westonbirt 10k race, taking in two laps of this wonderful nature sanctuary, supported by a helpful group of pacers.
Imogen completed the undulating course in 65 minutes and 6 six seconds, and was excited to receive her Easter bunny finisher’s medal incorporating a chocolate egg.
Parkrun - 19th April 2025
As usual, Bourton Roadrunners were present at several
parkrun events this weekend, both far and wide, including those members readying themselves ahead of next week’s
London and Manchester marathons. These included the following venues:

Jamaica Pond, Boston, USA: Susan Hunt - 30:41, Linda Edwards - 33:12.
Stratford-upon-Avon: George Swayne - 19:02 (SM18/1), Kevin Goodwill - 19:31 (course PB), Tim Hemming - 20:49 (VM55/3),
Rebecca Townsend - 21:05 (SW20/1 and course PB), Lisa Braid - 22:20 (VW40/3 and course PB), Barry O'Leary - 23:33 (course PB),
