Eynsham 10Km - Sunday 30th November 2025
Bourton Roadrunners’ Steph Lane has returned to winning ways at this year's Eynsham 10Km race, making it a hat-trick of wins for her at this high-quality Oxfordshire road race, which had close to 600 finishers. Thirty-five year old Steph wanted to finish the racing season on a high and that is exactly what she achieved, building on her 2024 win, and making it her third win at the event.
Taking the first mile in a cool five minutes and 36 seconds she kept the pressure on throughout, supported by her family and friends around the course. Despite strong competition from the field of 255 women, Steph fought hard to maintain her lead, and was rewarded with a finishing time of 37 minutes and 15 seconds, winning by 30 seconds; her fastest time since she was 18 years old! This was exactly what the Bourton-on-the-Water runner needed, and could finally put the disappointment from her last couple of races behind her.
Also running well from Bourton Roadrunners were Kevin Goodwill, who achieved 39:53, Rebecca Townsend (43:01) and Andrew Peaston (51:39), all of whom ran well.
Skipton Santa Fun Run - Sunday 30th November 2025
Further afield BRR Club Chair Ian Tolfts and his wife Jo were starting their Christmas early to beat the rush, at the Skipton Santa Fun Run, now in its 16th year, and having grown from its original 400 runners and walkers to over 2000 participants.
Starting and finishing in Skipton High Street, and taking in Aireville Park and Skipton Woods, this event raised over £63,000 for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice and other local charities in 2024. What a way to lead into the Christmas spirit.
