Lisbon Half Marathon - 9th March 2025
Hoping to beat the recent seasonal cold weather, a group of Bourton Roadrunners headed to Portugal this weekend for the Lisbon Half Marathon. On arrival they were surprised to learn that wet and stormy conditions were a strong possibility. However, most of the group completed the 13.1 mile course in the dry, with some even boasting “tan lines”.
Barry O’Leary was the first member from Bourton to finish, achieving a well earnt PB of one hour, 48 minutes and 28 seconds. Next were Jaq Underwood and Louise Hamilton-Smith, who ran together in 1:59:06. Allie Quinn, using this as training run for London Marathon, was pleased with 2:15:47. Completing the line-up, with both recovering from injury, were Nicky Patterson 2:50:00 and Jenny Evanson 2:57:49.
Paris Half Marathon - 9th March 2025
On the same day, Izzy Lane completed the Paris Half Marathon in a time of three hours, two minutes and four seconds.
