Fladbury 5 - Sunday 11th January 2026
With the weather still providing icy and traditional wintery conditions this weekend, Bourton Roadrunners’ Giles Canning travelled to Worcestershire for the annual Fladbury 5 mile race, held in support of local community projects and the Neuroendocrine Cancer Charity.
The mainly off-road course, taking in the villages of Fladbury and Lower Moor, along the banks of the River Avon, proved to be very windy. However, Giles kept the purpose of the event in sharp focus and was pleased with his time of 44 minutes and 51 seconds.
Parkrun - Saturday 10th January 2026
Whilst parkrun events are not regarded as races, one Bourton Runners’ Parkrun performance this weekend is worthy of note. Bourton
Junior Edward Hare finished second overall at the Fire Service College, Moreton-in-Marsh, in a stunning time of 17 minutes and 59 seconds. Whilst outside his
