Westonbirt 10K - Wednesday 29th April 2026
Wednesday evening saw over 1000 runners enjoy the beauty of the National Arboretum at Westonbirt, with its spring blooms and flowering trees, while running the Westonbirt 10K.
Three Bourton Roadrunners were amongst the field, they were Jaq Underwood, Janice Townsend and Annie Oliver, with her partner Mitch, finishing together in a time of 77 minutes and 38 seconds.
Tempo Trail Half - Sunday 3rd May 2026
Meanwhile, continuing with the nature theme, Susan Hunt took on the challenge of the Tempo Trail Half Marathon this weekend at Ilmington, near Shipston-on-Stour. As with all trail running, the challenge is determined by the terrain and the conditions.
Susan’s experience was important in handling the 884 feet of climbs, completing the 21.1Km course in a very respectable three hours, six minutes and 58 seconds.
Parkrun - Saturday 2nd May 2026
No weekend would been complete without a Parkrun, and this weekend Bourton Roadrunners could be found at the following venues:

This coming Friday (May 8th) Bourton Roadrunners Club will be holding its annual Bourton Mile road race at 7:30pm. Hosting 250 participants this sell-out event that features many of the best runners from around the county and has previously attracted several top athletes from further afield. Run on closed roads, this pancake-flat course finishes in the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water, with the final battle entertaining the enthusiastic spectators. This event is part of the Gloucestershire AAA Road Race Series and incorporates the County Road Mile Championships.
