Chase The Sun Half Marathon - Wednesday 1st July 2026
The racing week got off to good start for Bourton Roadrunners on Wednesday evening, when Conor Shoemark tested his return to the racing circuit at London’s Victoria Park.
Running in the Chase The Sun Half Marathon former jockey Conor, who is coached by Tom Knight, led home a decent field of 63 runners to test his progress in a time of one hour, 21 minutes and 34 seconds to claim his first running win for a while. Watch this space!
Evesham 10K - Sunday 5th July 2026
Then on Sunday, Steph Lane extended her winning streak at Evesham 10K, finishing first woman with a strong performance of 37 minutes and 9 seconds; two and a half minutes ahead of the second-placed woman.
Bourton’s Darren Long also ran well to claim first in the MV50 category with a strong 40 minutes and 26 seconds. He was joined by Maxine Emes who had another fine run in 45 minutes and 19 seconds.
Greenwich Park 10K - Sunday 5th July 2026
For John Harding the Greenwich Park 10K is a firm favourite, providing the opportunity to catch with family members and to enjoy a mix of the stunning views across the London Skyline and Canary Wharf with a truly challenging run.
Taking in the historic parkland surrounding the Royal Observatory, John was pleased with his time of 62 minutes and 15 seconds, earning him second male in the MV65 category.
Cannock Chase Forest 10K - Sunday 5th July 2026
Meanwhile, Barry O’Leary travelled to Staffordshire for the Cannock Chase Forest 10K, set against the backdrop of stunning woodland. Soaking-up the natural beauty Barry achieved a respectable 69 minutes and 45 seconds.
Parkrun - Saturday 4th July 2026
Of course, no weekend would been complete without a Parkrun, and this week Bourton Roadrunners could be found at the following venues:
