Leamington Spa Half Marathon - 25th June 2023
Bourton Roadrunners’ Rebecca Townsend joined 1400 other runners on a very warm and humid morning for the Leamington Spa Half Marathon, where she maintained a consistent pace and achieved a creditable two hours, four minutes and 51 seconds.
Neil Russell’s London to Barcelona - Update - 25th June 2023
Meanwhile, Neil Russell has now crossed the French/Spanish boarder at Le Perthus, battling the heat, on his epic 920-mile run from London to Barcelona in aid of Parkinson’s UK. Neil, who has Parkinson’s himself, is continuing to make excellent progress, aiming to arrive in time for the World Parkinson’s Congress; our thoughts are with Neil and his support-team.

Parkruns - 24th June 2023
Finally, Bourton Roadrunners had members out in support of a number of parkrun events on Saturday, including:
Wolford Wood: Dougal Hamilton-Smith – 22:49 (PB), Tom Knight – 30:37 (PB), Alison Tighe and Louise Hamilton Smith, who having chatted together
all the way round, clocked 35:40 and 35:41 respectively and Gillian James 50:25.
Chipping Norton: Lorna Shawcross – 26:03 and Sharon Rees – 30:54.
Cheltenham Pittville Park: John Harding - 26.18 (PB) and Chris Dry – 29:27.
Highlights
Rebecca completes the Leamington Spa Half in 2:04:51.
Neil crosses the border into Spain at Le Perthus, and is on schedule to arrive in Barcelona at 2pm on Friday June 30th.
