Bluebell Challenge - 29th April 2023
Bourton Roadrunners’ Allie Quinn and Louise Hamilton-Smith tested themselves at the Bluebell Challenge, held at Hartshill Hayes Country Park in Nuneaton. The aim of the event, part of the Big Bear Challenge series, was to complete as many 5km laps as they could within a six-hour period. The intrepid pair completed this tough challenge by covering 18½ miles within the time-limit.

Club members were also supporting parkrun events at the weekend, led by the Chair, Chris Dry in Cheltenham’s Pittville Park,
where he clocked 28min 8sec. In Chipping Norton, Jenny Evanson ran 35min 17sec; while Liz Hulcup clocked 27min 55sec in Cirencester.
In Evesham, Lorna Shawcross crossed the line in 25min 41sec, ahead of Sharon Rees in 31min 46sec.
Highlights
Allie and Louise tested themselves at the Bluebell Challenge, comprising a mix of blanketed bluebell fields and a hilly landscape, including a killer set of steps.
