Bourton One Mile Challenge – 13th July 2019
The Bourton One Mile Challenge, organised by Norm and Ali Lane, had a super turn-out yet again with last year’s race winner, Richard de-Camps from Cheltenham & County Harriers making it 2 wins in a row. This year he was the clear leader in a time of 4:32, 4 seconds ahead of William Stockley from Belgrave Harriers. Cirencester’s prolific star, Dave Bell came in 3rd, another 4 seconds later.
Seventeen year old Emily Field of Bourton Roadrunners, running for Stratford AC on the night, conclusively won the ladies race in a superb time of 5:24, beating Tewkesbury’s Shona Crombie-Hicks by 5 seconds. Anna Midgley of Gloucester finished 3rd in 5:33.
