British Milers Club 800m, Exeter - 26th July 2022
Bourton Roadrunners Club’s junior athlete, Lucy Hillary, achieved a new personal best time for 800 metres while representing the club at the British Milers Club (BMC) track event in Exeter, 26th July. Normally racing in the under-15 category, Lucy ran in a mixed age-group event, with runners up to 20 years old, where she finished 3rd in a time of 2:29.83, just 0.9 of a second behind the winner, where she was out-sprinted in the final 50 metres.
Draycote Water 10k - 30th July 2022
The Draycote Water 10k is a regular favourite for Bourton runners and for multi-discipline athletes, Darren Long and Maxine Emes, the lake environment provided a natural choice of venue. Maxine, fresh from her recent Lake Geneva swim, finished 1st lady and LV40 in a time of 47:18, while Darren enjoyed a good run, finishing 6th in 40:37.
