Devon Standard Distance Duathlon - 3rd November 2024
Meanwhile in-form Graham Lane, who has been running superbly since turning 70, travelled to Roadford Lake for the Devon Standard Distance Duathlon.
Starting with a two-lap 10Km run, followed by a 46Km single-lap cycle race, then a further 5Km run, Graham completed the challenging course with a chip-time of 3 hours, 29 minutes and 42 seconds. He really enjoyed the event, especially racing the hilly cycle course, despite his legs feeling shot afterwards. However, he was slightly disappointed that he could only managed second MV70. His self-critical comment was “I clearly require more speed-work!”
