Parkrun - Thursday 1st January and Saturday 3rd January 2026
As the festive period approached its natural conclusion enthusiastic supporters of Park Run were again rewarded this week with a double-serving
of events within easy reach for Bourton Roadrunners.
New Years Day
On New Years day several members were out early despite having possibly celebrated the previous evening and could be found at the following venues:
Cirencester: Claire Louise Carroll - 27:46 (VW60/2 and course PB), Louise Hamilton-Smith - 29:52, Liz Hulcup - 49:05.
Llanfoist Crossing, Abergavenny: Rob Williams - 31:07.
Milton Keynes: Kieran Vallance - 30:12.
Stratford-upon-Avon: Darren Long - 20:22, Kevin Goodwill - 20:37, Rebecca Townsend - 21:52 (SW25/2), Maxine Emes - 22:47 (VW40/1),
Susan Hunt - 25:38 (VW60/1).
Saturday 3rd January
Two days later members awoke to a dusting of snow and quickly checked to see whether their selected Park Run would still be going ahead,
and whether their running buddies would be able to get there. The end result was great news and a fine turn out:
