Welcome to Bourton Roadrunners' Website

Founded in 1981, we are a small friendly club in the Cotswolds that welcomes all runners whatever their abilities.  Whether you are training for a marathon, the local village fun-run, or you run just to keep fit, you will be made welcome.

Club members compete in road races throughout the year and cross-country events during the winter months.  We are affiliated to the Gloucestershire AAA and UK Athletics.

The club meets: EveryTuesday & Thursday
Tuesday
7pm for a short 2 - 3 miles
7:30pm for speed work.

Wednesday
A ‘Beginners & Improvers group’ meets at the Leisure Centre Wednesday 9:30am. For more details please email our club secretary, Margaret, at

Thursday
6:30pm for a short 2 - 3 miles
7:00pm for a longer run of approximately 5 miles.

We meet regardless of the weather; the only exception is Christmas day!

Current Matters

At the club’s Annual General Meeting, held on Monday 14th November, Chris Dry was elected Chairman and Alan Thomas Vice Chairman. For the full committee list please visit our Membership page.

The date for the 2017 Bourton 10k is Sunday 26th February, and the entry is now full; visit our 10k page. Our race licence number is 2017-26126.

The provisional final standing of the Gloucestershire County Road Race Series after 11 events (6th November 2016) is available to download.

Please note that the third race of the Gloucestershire County Cross-Country League will take place on Saturday 17th December at Katherine Lady Berkeley School, Wotton Under Edge (hosted by Dursley RC). Refreshments and changing are available, but there

Cheque presentation to the British Heart Foundation for the 2016 Bourton 10k
