Welcome to Bourton Roadrunners' Website
Yes we are still here; however, like everyone else we have had to modify in-line with the government’s advice and England Athletics’ guidelines. We are now able to start organising small-group training sessions, structured to reflect the range of abilities that we support whilst ensuring social distancing is still observed. For more information about this, and the relevant contact details, please see our About Us page and for further details of England Athletics’ latest advice read their guidance notes.
Founded in 1981, we are a small friendly club in the Cotswolds that welcomes all runners whatever their abilities. Whether you are training for a marathon, the local village fun-run, or you run just to keep fit, you will be made welcome. Click here to learn more about our fantastic club!

News... News... News...
During this challenging period, with most of the news being sombre in all directions, Bourton Roadrunners wishes to share a little piece of good news with everyone. We are pleased to confirm that the club has been able to donate £5,000 which is being shared by the two charities supported by this year’s Bourton 10k, which took place prior to the COVID-19 outbreak hitting the UK. North Cotswold Foodbank and Parkingson’s UK will both receive £2,500 to aid their invaluable work.
The club wishes to thank everyone that supported this year’s Bourton 10k event and made it all possible, particularly Highbridge Jewellers Bourton-on-the-Water, Cotswold First Aid, Bourton Vale Cricket Club, Bourton-on-the-Water Parish Council and local businesses and residents.
The schedule for the Gloucestershire AAA 2019-2020 cross-country series has been published and online entry provided.

We have recently added a race report dating back to the 1986 London Marathon, featuring 8 of Bourton Roadrunners’ early members, breaking new ground in marathon fancy dress running, as Claud the 50-foot caterpillar, which took the crowds by storm. Take a moment to read Bern Cartlidge’s account and catch a photo of them.
Check out our new format Bourton Hilly Half + 10K event, with event details and a map available to inspect. The Half Marathon was part of the 2019 Gloucestershire AAA County Road Race Series and incorporated the County Championships too.
